Wapiti of the Week: Grace ’22

At The Winchendon School, we like to recognize many of our outstanding students for their accomplishments, commitment, and service to our community. We will be honoring a student once a week. This week we would like to recognize four-year senior Grace Fitzgerald. Grace has been an involved member of our community and one that puts forth commitment and effort each and every day.

Grace is a three-sport varsity athlete here at The Winchendon School. She plays soccer during the fall season, competes on the ice as a member of the Girls Varsity hockey team during the winter, and plays for the girl’s varsity lacrosse team as a goalie during the spring.

Grace expresses how her Winchendon School experience has taught her leadership skills which have helped her grow in all aspects as a student, an athlete, and overall into a better person. Grace came to The Winchendon School to pursue her love for hockey, as well as to pursue success in her academics. She shows what it means to be a student-athlete here at Winch.

Coming to the Winchendon school Grace has had the opportunity to build herself, trying to become better and better each day. Learning and learning she talks about how Winch has helped her become a better person, friend, student, and athlete.

A piece of advice Grace would like to leave the community with is “Don’t wait for success to come to you, make it happen”

We would like to thank Grace Fitzgerald for her time and commitment to The Winchendon School Community. Keep up the great work and best of luck the rest of the year and beyond!
